Yarnboy — Privacy Policy

Yarnboy (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a single-player arcade game published by Browning PC LLC. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. We keep it deliberately minimal — you can play the entire game as a guest without an account and without giving us any personal information.

Information we collect

• Account information (only if you sign in). Signing in is optional and used solely to place you on the global leaderboard. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and a unique account identifier from that provider. Apple’s “Hide My Email” is supported. We store your display name and account identifier with your best score; we do not use your email for marketing.
• Game progress. Your scores, yarn balls, and settings are saved locally on your device. If you are signed in, the scores you submit are also stored on our server, linked to your account, to power the leaderboard.
• Advertising data. The app shows optional, opt-in rewarded video ads through Google AdMob (you only ever see an ad after tapping a “Watch” button). We request non-personalized ads only. The app does not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps or websites — so no “Ask App Not to Track” prompt is shown. To serve and measure these ads and prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical data such as a coarse (city-level) location derived from your IP address and general device information. How we use information

• To display the global leaderboard and show your rank.
• To save and restore your game progress.
• To deliver optional rewarded ads and keep them working reliably.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising.

Third-party services

• Sign in with Apple — authentication (only if you use it).
• Google Sign-In — authentication (only if you use it).
• Google AdMob — non-personalized rewarded ads.

Data retention and deletion

Local game data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Your leaderboard entry (display name, account identifier, best score) is kept on our server until you delete your account.

Deleting your account. If you signed in, you can permanently delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete Account. This immediately removes your leaderboard entry and account identifier from our server. You can also email us at the address below to request deletion and we will remove it.

Children’s privacy

Yarnboy is a general-audience game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note the change in the app.
